So today this happened, which is pretty awesome.

Scored a hell of a deal on Doctor Who The Complete Series 6 on Blu-ray this past weekend. Regularly $85-$100, picked up used at The Beat Goes on for $44.99. I had a $12.99 coupon too so after tax I picked it up for $36.
GERONIMO!
Sure, the Doctor Who “Brilliant Book 2012” is intended for younger audiences - but I don’t care. As a re-cap and all around inside-look into series 6 of Doctor Who, I’m happy to plunk this right next to my “Brilliant Book 2011”.
The book has great interviews, behind the scenes info, deleted scenes as well as comics from this past season. It also has these incredible one sheets from each episode that look outstanding. I can’t find a single HD example of them online, which is driving my crazy because I want them for my phone background.
If you’re a Doctor Who fan, it’s worth picking this up. It’s just over 150 pages, but it’s fun and informative. It’s great to see so much passion behind this past season.

How can you not love these people?
So it’s official - I’m caught up with Doctor Who. What a great series so far. I bought the Christmas Carol Blu-ray today for $16 at Best Buy just so I could cap off what is already released in high def instead of streaming it. It was pretty good!
The production quality of the fifth season is really remarkable. It was like a second reboot for the show and I think Matt Smith is really living up to the role of The Doctor. Great stuff, looking forward to the new season coming out soon!
