I love Lawrence Yang’s “Tiny Brak, Tiny Moltar, Tiny Space Ghost and Tiny Zorak” pieces for the Gallery 1988 Adult Swim show.

Each print is 2x3 inches; ink, watercolor and gouache on paper

Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to post these either.

Justin White created my three favourite pieces in the Gallery 1988 show. All are mixed media animation cels 16x20 inches.

“When I Get Back, I’m Going To Kill You” - Escape From New York
“It’s Weird And Pissed Off, Whatever It Is” - The Thing
“It’s All In The Reflexes” - Big Trouble In Little China

The Crazy 4 Cult 5 show was on this past weekend at Gallery 1988, and there were a couple of real gems.

The photos above are:
Derek Deal’s “You’re Tearing Me Apart, Lisa” Screenprint edition of 35, 18x24. Obviously inspired by one of the worst films of all time - The Room (which I finally just saw last week).
Chris Tezber’s “Big Trouble” acrylic on masonite, 11x14. Inspired by Big Trouble in Little China.
Julian Callos’ “Ace of Bass” mixed media sculpture. Inspired by Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

You can view the original works of art (and order too!) here. Lots of pieces inspired by John Carpenter, David Lynch, Monty Python and more. They’re definitely worth browsing through to at least see the variety of works.
