I was really surprised at how much I ended up enjoying Skyline. Taking place over a couple of days, the film features the events that follow an alien invasion on Earth. It doesn’t go into any details about the invasion, even news reporters have been abducted. Any information the viewer receives is through a group of individuals who are stuck in the penthouse suite of a hotel. They can see everything happening out the windows, but they slowly learn of the motivations.
The acting was ridiculous, and the script was terrible…but the computer generated aliens and special effects were outstanding. The action was a little less than I had anticipated, but was violent and exciting when it actually picked up. Overall it’s definitely worth watching, especially if you enjoy science fiction films.
