Anonymous asked: I just wanted to let you know that calling the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo a remake of the Swedish movie is wrong. Both films are interpretations of the same book, but the former is not based off the latter. I can understand why you would compare the two seeing as though you admitted to not reading the books, but it is still unnecessary to compare them as the original versus the remake. They are versions, and that is all. Good review otherwise!

Thanks for clarifying Anon! I should have been more specific about my use of the word “remake”. I guess using “another interpretation of the source material” would have been better! Both are great films, but the most important aspect in both is the story.
